Your sources and your reading criteria
An AI RSS reader that filters for your interests
Bring RSS feeds, news sites and communities into a personal news reader. Tell Peekwit what to keep and what to skip, then read the relevant articles and one daily news digest with links to the originals.
Filter RSS feeds by topic and personal interests
A publication can cover several subjects while only a few matter to you. Describe the articles you want in ordinary language, including the subjects you want excluded. Peekwit uses those criteria to assess incoming posts and select your reading list.
Your criteria can be specific to a job, a question or a personal interest. For example:
Keep local reporting about housing, public transport and council decisions. Include explanations of what a policy changes for residents. Skip sports results and celebrity news.
This is an example reading instruction. You can follow business, science, politics, technology, culture, sport or another topic, and refine the instructions as your interests change. Marking an item irrelevant supplies feedback for later selections.
Set up a personal reading list
- Describe your interests. When requesting beta access, say what you follow and what you want to skip. Your invite starts setup from that description.
- Choose your sources. Review the suggested publications and communities, and add the supported feeds you already read.
- Read the first brief. Open the selected items and their original sources to judge whether the brief covers what matters to you.
- Refine the selection. Give relevance feedback and adjust your interests or sources when important coverage is missing.
Get a daily email digest from your RSS feeds
The daily brief brings selected items from your sources together into one edition. It groups the day's material into a readable summary with numbered references, so you can open the articles behind a claim.
Read the brief in your browser or schedule delivery by email. You can choose the delivery time and your preferred brief size. Morning email delivery covers the previous day's finished edition. Slack delivery is also available through alerts.
The underlying feed and searchable archive stay available when you want more detail or need to find something you read earlier.
Group duplicate news stories across sources
One event can appear in a publisher's RSS feed, another outlet's coverage and a forum discussion. Peekwit groups related coverage into stories and suppresses redundant items while keeping useful updates visible. A later report with new evidence can still matter even when its subject is familiar.
Combine Reddit, Hacker News and publication feeds
You can follow supported Reddit communities and Hacker News alongside RSS feeds and news sites. This brings an article and the discussion around it into the same reading workflow. Your interests determine what reaches your feed and brief.
For a technical example, see the personal AI news digest for model releases and inference. To include newsletters, see how to summarize supported Substack subscriptions and publications.
Questions about the news reader
Can I exclude topics from an RSS feed?
Include exclusions in the description of your interest, such as skipping sports results while following local policy. You can update those criteria and give feedback on articles that reach your feed.
Can several feeds contribute to the same daily digest?
Yes. Your daily brief combines selected items across your sources. It can cover several interests, and you can also open an individual interest's brief.
Can I inspect an example before requesting access?
Read the real example brief on AI research and inference. It shows a stored edition and its numbered headlines. Your own brief follows the interests and sources you choose.
